Instructions

  2. Divide the lotus seed paste into equal portions and flatten each one into a disc.

  1. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll them into balls.

  3. Lightly dust a mooncake mold with flour and press each filled dough ball into the mold. Gently release it onto a baking tray.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Brush a thin layer of egg wash over each mooncake and return to the oven for another 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Let the mooncakes cool completely. Store them in an airtight container for 2-3 days before eating, as this allows the texture to soften.
